We invite you to join our school for a twelve month residential discipleship programme
RECONNECT
Change your pattern of life and reconnect with God in a significant way. Rediscover meaningful work and purpose.
Live alongside believers, sharing life and appreciating God’s creation. Discover new purpose to impact the world.
RHYTHMS
The pace of modern, urban life can separate us from the God-designed rhythms of life.
Rhythms that do us good, where everything has its place. With the land and seasons for inspiration, you’ll have the opportunity to recalibrate.
RELATIONSHIP
Followers of Jesus have shone brightest when they have shared life together.
From the early disciples to the Clapham group, great purpose flows from deep relationships.
Cultivating and stewarding historic land and buildings.
Jesus
He is our inspiration and guide.
Allow His presence to speak whether you are clearing dishes, sowing seeds or caring for antique furniture.
Working
Working outdoors, in nature and on the land gives a new appreciation for God’s creation.
You will be part of a team that serves the guests and purposes of the historic Moggerhanger House.
Learning
You will be in a learning environment. From landscaping to silver service, there will be opportunities for many practical activities and artisan skills.
A day each week will feature Biblical exploration and study. Every day you could be learning more about yourself and God the Creator.
Living
Living in a community strengthens our commitment to biblical relationships.
You will be sharing accommodation and helping create a community that lives, works, prays and plays together.
Learning Streams
Learning will blend and interweave two streams throughout your experience at the School.
Next Steps
Is it for me?
If you are looking to connect with Father, Son and Holy Spirit and find a deeper purpose for your life, then quite possibly!
What you can expect:
Moggerhanger Park has been a place of spiritual discovery since the time the local 12th century Cistercian Abbey farmed unproductive land here.
The Thornton family, who commissioned the 18th century re-design of the House and Park, had family connections with William Wilberforce. This has inspired Christian social action initiatives here over the last 200 years. It is our vision that society-transforming endeavour will continue to be conceived here and influence the nations – what will you do?
Some of Moggerhanger Park’s historical significance comes from it’s architect Sir John Soane whose other projects included No.s 10 and 11 Downing Street and the Bank of England – buildings of national and spiritual significance.
Our beautiful landscaping is a legacy of Humphry Repton, whose Red Book designs established more than 70 country house landscapes. He had great influence on estate owners of his time through to the present day.
You will be part of the residential community who support the work of Moggerhanger Park, our guests and our grounds. By supporting others and enjoying the support you receive in turn, we believe you will discover your identity in Christ more deeply and the impactful purpose of your life.
Work and worship get reconnected. Work has been redeemed by Christ’s death on the cross. Our prayer is that you will find freedom and joy in the ministry of your work here.
More than just supporting the estate, you will be enhancing a place of significance for all who visit.
Our vision is for you to play a part in restoring historic gardens and home. This is an opportunity to model God, the Creator of nature and beauty.
Cultivating is a key theme - cultivating the land, new relationships and cultivating your own walk with God.
